Do you have an interest in the creative industries and fashion? This new course provides a foundation of practical skills, alongside portfolio development and the opportunity to understand where fashion sits within the creative industries. You will learn how to research, develop, illustrate and produce your own designs, whilst learning how and why the consumption of fashion is having to explore new business models to become sustainable. During your course, we introduce you to using a range of digital technologies, which will help you get the most from your course and at the same time develop your digital skills. This level of study is suitable for school leavers and mature students seeking entry point into education. After completing this course you will have a portfolio of work you can use to progress to Higher Education and have deeper understanding about how and where you want to work within Creative Industries.
Students should have at least 3 National 4 or 5s or equivalent. Previous experience of an art and design course or a passion for fashion and design would be desirable. All applicants will have the opportunity to present a folio of recent work. Mature students will be considered on merit.
