Description

Why take this course?

This is an excellent opportunity for those who are interested in, or would like to follow a career in general sports massage or injury/illness rehabilitation.

The course would benefit:

  • Those new to further education or those who have not undertaken education or training for some time;
  • Those who volunteer at a sports club and want to enhance their knowledge on rehabilitation;
  • Those who want to start their own business.

What you will experience

This short course will provide an introduction to the theory and practical techniques used in sport and exercise massage, which can be a basis for progression onto further studies.

This is a practical course and therefore students will be required to carry out treatments with clients. For training purposes, students will also be required to carry out massage techniques on other students.

On completion, students should be able to identify and apply different massage techniques used in sport and exercise massage.
