Specialist training for construction, plant and machinery
This course is available on the Forde Training Services website.
To assist site management and supervisory personnel to:
Manage health and safety on site in accordance with the current legal provisions and within the context of their management or supervisory role
Develop an understanding of their responsibilities and accountability for site health, safety and welfare
Recognise that a safe site is efficient, economical and productive
An introduction to health & safety management
Managing Health & Safety at Work
Responsibilities of managers and supervisors
Measuring, monitoring and auditing health and safety performance
Provision of information and training
The control of hazards and risk
All Site Managers and Supervisory Personnel
Candidates will participate in theory lessons and practical exercises all of which are highlighted by the use of OHP & Videos, covering the following,
Introduction to Health & Safety responsibilities
Managing Health & Safety
Responsibilities of managers and supervisors
Measuring, monitoring and auditing health and safety performance
Provision of information and training
Control of hazards and risks
5 days block release Or 5 days at 1 day per week
CITB – Site Safety Managers Certificate
Eligible companies are able to claim grants for this training, which will pay for a substantial amount if not all of the training costs, as this course is CITB approved for grant purposes.
