About PR Academy

Provider Avatar

With hundreds of communicators choosing to learn with us each year, PR Academy is a leading provider of public relations and communication education.

We’re the largest centre for qualifications accredited by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR). We also work with the Public Relations and Communication Association (PRCA) and the Association for Measurement and Evaluation of Communication (AMEC). Each year hundreds of practitioners, many from top global companies, choose us as their study partner.

A bit more about us….

The company is owned and run by co-founders, husband and wife team, Dr Kevin Ruck and Ann Pilkington. We were formed in 2007 to deliver the CIPR PR Diploma online and haven’t looked back!

We went on to:

  • Deliver all CIPR qualifications online, face to face in London or through blended learning.
  • Design, set up and run the college for AMEC – the International Association of Measurement and Evaluation of Communication.
  • Launch our PR MOOC (massive open online course) which introduces the fundamentals of PR to students from all over the world for free.
  • Launch PR Place in autumn 2017, our community and resource hub. A place where “practice meets scholarship, where insight is derived from evidence and where questions of career development and professionalism can be explored”.
  • Launch our first qualification with the Public Relations and Communication Association (PRCA), a specialist course in change management, in 2019.
