This course is available on the First Aid Training Cooperative website.
The EFAW+F course includes the standard EFAW syllabus, but adds additional extra content to make it relevant to the forestry context in which it is delivered.
This course is specifically required by forestry workers to allow them to work for the Forestry Commission, Forestry and Land Scotland, and other similar organisations.
This course is suitable for squad members or workers who operate as part of a team. Those with responsibility for a team, or who work alone, or in particularly dangerous environments, should consider the 18 Hour First Aid at Work + Forestry course.
The Forestry Commission and Forestry and Land Scotland state that the extra content should include outdoor and environmental concerns, as listed below.
Specifically suitable for Forestry Workers and Forestry Contractors, but also Arborists, Landscaping contractors, and Agricultural workers.
This blended style of course gives students maximum efficiency and flexibility whilst retaining a high quality of training and a dynamic learning environment.
Theoretical training done at your own pace and supported by multiple video demos and pages from our Digital First Aid Manuals is followed by a Live Online Session with one of our trainers where the theory is contextualised to your situation. Finally, a practical assessment is carried out in pairs allowing you to demonstrate the practical skills that you have been shown.
