Monday 10th June, 10.30am - 3pm. East Neuk Market Garden, Fife. This workshop is aimed at people who are working or training at Market Gardens and new entrants who are in the process of setting up market garden businesses, but community growers and home gardeners are also welcome! Participants will be given a sound introduction to: -The core principles of soil health -Measuring and perceiving soil health on the farm -Practical measures to promote soil health & fertility in a market garden context The day will include practical activities, a site tour, tea / coffee & cake. Please bring your own packed lunch. East Neuk Market Garden is a 4 acre market garden in Fife practicing no-dig and other agreocological methods. They grow a wide range of veg, salads, herbs and fruit for their local community, supplying their CSA veg box scheme and local restaurants.
