English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

This part-time ESOL course will help you to improve your Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking skills in English. It is offered at each of our campuses.

What will I learn?

Our students come from many backgrounds, nationalities and ages (from 16 upwards). You will have the opportunity to meet and make friends with people from many different cultures.   Classes are large, lively and well attended and the atmosphere in the teaching groups is informal.   You will work in pairs and groups so that you can help each other to learn.  

There are courses at seven levels of ESOL and range from SCQF Level 2 to Level 5. Most levels are available for both part time (four classes a week) and full time study (five classes a week).

  1. Literacies
  2. Beginners
  3. Elementary
  4. Pre-Intermediate
  5. Intermediate
  6. Upper intermediate
  7. Advanced (Higher ESOL – Two classes a week at our Langside Campus). If your level of English is Advanced (for example you have an A or B pass at ESOL National 5, or IELTS 5. 5) please apply using the link below:

You will improve:

These certificates are recognised by colleges and employers.
