Christmas Panel (or Finishing) Day
Saturday 9th November – full day 10.30am – 4.00pm
We all have an unsewn Christmas Panel lurking in our stash, whether it’s an Advent Calendar, Stocking or even Christmas Bunting. Come along to our Christmas Panel Day and we’ll all work on getting them done together. Catriona will be there to help you with anything you’re puzzled about so you have no excuse not to get it finished! We’ve carefully scheduled this session so you have plenty of time to fill a finished advent calendar and gift it to a lucky recipient before the start of December. If you don’t have a panel then we have several lovely ones available in the shop!
This sewing day would also work perfectly if you have something else you’d like to spend a day working on before Christmas!
Panels are much easier to make with a sewing machine and there are machines available to borrow if necessary. Only basic skills are needed, cutting out, ironing and using a sewing machine.

In April 2014 it moved to new premises in Edinburgh where Jo Avery further developed her myBearpaw brand of sewing classes, fabric, wool and haberdashery. In July 2020 the business was taken over by Catriona Brown who aims to continue in the same creative vein, with interesting classes and lovely craft supplies.

These days are about treating yourself while you learn!
