Description

Throughout the course you will develop competencies in key skills required for employment in the industry or progression to degree level study. You will gain an understanding of coaching theories, scientific principles relating to skill acquisition and fitness as well as the importance of research informing effective practice.

You will develop an understanding and gain experience of coaching beginners and improvers and working with mixed ability groups in golf. You will develop an awareness of retail, finance, course maintenance and the wider operations required to run a golf facility.

On completion of this course you will be prepared for employment as an assistant golf professional or you can progress to the HND year or entry to a related degree programme.
