Description

An Introduction to Foundation Paper Piecing – Circle of Geese

Sunday 9th June – full day 10.30am – 4pm

Tutor: Catriona Brown

Have you always wanted to try foundation paper piecing but have been confused about where to start? This is the class for you! This class is designed to provide a fairly comprehensive introduction to foundation paper piecing using a block that is not as complicated as it looks. Catriona will teach you her favourite method, designed to avoid pretty much all of the pitfalls and have you making beautiful FPP projects in no time.

We will be making an 18” circle of geese block made up of four 9” quarter blocks that have 9 pieces each. We would be aiming to finish one or two quarters on the day if you’re new to FPP, or a more experienced sewer who just likes the block could probably complete the whole 18” block during the class. The block would make a great cushion or wall hanging, or if you enjoy FPP you could make some more, nine 18” blocks make a great 54” square lap quilt!

You will need your sewing machine and fabric (exact details will be sent with your order acknowledgement).

This class is suitable for post beginner quilters. You must have experience with machine sewing and also be able to use a rotary cutter.
