Course Content

The course will cover the following topics

  • The basics
  • How to care and condition your flowers
  • Preparing containers
  • Wrapping bunches, tied bouquets

You will be shown a range of techniques to help you create different styles of floral design and through practical demonstration, you will be given guidance to help you create a range different types of floral designs. Some of the designs looked at will be, corsages, buttonholes, posies, container arrangements in floral foam, hand-tied bouquets and festive designs.

Students are asked to bring with them flowers andfoliage each week to create a range of designs. (This should cost no more than 20GBP). Students will be given advice on which types of fresh material to bring for each session.
