Description

This free course will give you an insight into the exciting world of airline cabin crew and the expectations within their job role.  If you wish to acquire a basic knowledge of working as cabin crew as an interest or are considering a career in that role, this short course will provide you with an overview of what's involved.    

There are no entry requirements for this course.

During the course you will:

Learn about the aviation industry relevant to the role of air cabin crew including the main features of UK airports, the services offered by scheduled, charter and low cost airlines, become familiar with the features of a passenger aircraft, understand the standards of appearance and behaviour that airlines require of cabin crew and use correct terminology to describe airports, airlines and aircraft.

Communicate with passengers including making clear passenger service announcements, assisting different passenger types and responding appropriately to passengers' body language.

Contribute to the service of meals or light refreshments including working positively with others, responding to passenger dietary requests, using safe manual handling techniques and handling food in a safe and hygienic manner.

 

On completion of this course you could progress to our NQ International Travel programme in August 2024.
