Off Site
This is a work-based qualification and all evidence produced must be in relation to the individual's job role and responsibility. The award is made up of six units, three of which are mandatory. Mandatory units: Communicate effectively in a healthcare environment; Make sure your own actions reduce the risks to health and safety; Carry out your responsibilities at work. In addition to the above, three further units must be chosen from a number of optional units.
Applicants need to be in employment for a minimum of 16 hours and have been in post for at least 3 months. Selection for the course will be personal statement and written statement.
Reflective reports and observations within an e-portfolio.
Recognised by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) for registration requirements.
