This Professional Development Award (PDA) consists of three HNC level IT units which add up to 4 credits: IT in Business; Word Processing and Presentations; Spreadsheets; Databases. It is a short, 'bite-sized' qualification especially suitable as a continuing professional development (CPD) opportunity for those wishing to improve their professional practice and gain an up-to-date IT qualification.
Access to the PDA is at the discretion of the centre. Candidates should be competent in IT skills to SCQF level 5 however this would be discussed on an individual basis at interview.
Continuous assessment.
Two of the three units are included in the HND Business programme and can be transferred to this qualification if a learner decided to progress at a later date. These units also form part of the Medical Administration PDA.
