What will I learn?

This City & Guilds 18th Edition course is a part-time commercial training course that ensures candidates are up to date with the latest industry regulations on wiring and the safe use and operation of equipment and systems.

Glasgow Clyde College has adapted its content to reflect the changes within Amendment 2 of the Wiring Regulations, published in March 2022.  

There are various options to attain the certificate

1. Full Course - open to candidates who meets the College entry requirements

This is a classroom-based course with full training. It is for those new to the 18th Edition of the B7671 Wiring Regulations or upskilling from the 17th Edition. Delivery is 4 days / 7 evenings, normally over one session per week, with a 2-hour online assessment on the last session. Cost is £475.

2. Update Course - current 18th Edition certificate holders only

This is a classroom-based short training session highlighting the amendments since original publication. It is for those who already hold the 18th Edition of the B7671 Wiring Regulations and require amendment 2 certification. Delivery is one day with a 2-hour online assessment at the end. Cost is £285 including BS7671 or £195 if candidate already has the BS7671.  

3. Exam Only - current 18th Edition certificate holders only 

This is a classroom-based 2-hour online assessment. It is for those who already hold the 18th Edition of the B7671 Wiring Regulations and require amendment 2 certification, with the means to study independently. The exam is 120 minutes. Cost is £100 

A complimentary resit is included in all options.
