Topics and dates are:- 1. Spring planting - 12th May 2025 2. Harvesting & preparing for sale, 15th July 2025 3. Preserving and growing over winter, 26th August 2025 4. Planning for a market garden, 14th October 2025 5. Preparing for the season, 17th February 2026 The price for each 2 hour workshop is £20 for members; £35 for non-members.
Mission: • To ensure the sustainability of crofting for future generations. Aims: • To advocate for crofting so that its value is recognised from within communities to government. • To support crofters to meet the challenges of a changing world. • To champion the need for crofting to remain accessible and affordable for young people in crofting communities. Objectives: • To lobby policymakers within government to ensure the crofters' voice and concerns are heard at all levels. • To provide information, training and advice to crofters through publications, webinars, events, courses and our advice service. • To support new entrant crofters to understand the history and value of crofting, to learn from their experienced peers, and to understand their obligations.
