Course Content

This course follows on from level 2 Beauty and is designed for learners looking to advance their knowledge and skills. It covers current aspects required to work effectively as a beauty therapist and provides the skills needed to work in spas and industry salons or start a self-employed career.

At D&A Beauty School, we offer exceptional facilities and experienced lecturers to train you to work with clients using professional products and help increase your employment prospects and confidence.

This course includes practical classes and project work, which will be delivered on campus 2-3 days per week from 9 am to 5 pm, with potential evening classes from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

Entry Requirements

Completion of VTCT Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Studies (or equivalent).  A satisfactory reference may be required. Enthusiasm and motivation for the beauty industry are advantages. For applicants for whom English is not your first language, ESOL at SCQF level 5 is required as excellent communication skills are needed.

All applicants should be 16 years or older before the start of the course.

Method of Assessment

Assignments and exams will take place throughout the course, and skills are assessed by direct observation. Extensive research and self-study will also be required to complete this course successfully.  

All practical assessments are carried out on paying clients within our beauty salons.

You will study Health and Safety, Client Care and Communication, Facial Electrotherapy, Body Electrotherapy, Body Massage, Individual Semi-Permanent Eyelash Extensions, Microdermabrasion, Skin Treatments and Indian Head Massage.
