Depending on access and height above the ground a powered pole pruner provides a better solution than tree climbing.
Powered pole pruners are useful pieces of equipment, and are used extensively across many sectors.
Our qualification will help you build on the skills and experience you already possess, and will give you the chance to obtain a competency card to open up job opportunities in your chosen sector.
This qualification will enable you to prove your expertise in using a pole pruner, and will also provide firm evidence of your ability to meet licence-to-practise standards.
Once you have successfully carried out this course you will receive a LANTRA certificate of training in Powered Poler Pruners.
TARGET AUDIENCE
You could be starting a new role. Or you might already be using your chainsaw skills across a range of relevant operations.
Whatever your professional circumstances, our course will boost your confidence and help you meet the current standards of good working practice.
If you are over the age of 16 and wish to develop your knowledge, understanding, and skills and require proof of competence within your field of expertise then this course is suitable for you.
You will also hold hold units 201, 202 Chainsaw maintenance and crosscutting. (if not contact us to discuss options.)
Your qualification may provide the opportunity to use your skills across a range of tree and timber operations.

The Future Forestry Training Fund, was established by Scottish Forestry to support those relatively new to forestry, by providing the opportunity to develop their skills relating to the practicalities of forestry practice as well as wider business and sustainability skills, in order to help them secure, sustain and progress their careers.
