This course is available on the First Aid Training Cooperative website.
The EFAW+F course includes the standard EFAW syllabus, but adds additional extra content to make it relevant to the forestry context in which it is delivered.
This course is specifically required by forestry workers to allow them to work for the Forestry Commission, Forestry and Land Scotland, and other similar organisations.
This course is suitable for squad members or workers who operate as part of a team. Those with responsibility for a team, or who work alone, or in particularly dangerous environments, should consider the 3 Day First Aid at Work + Forestry course.
The Forestry Commission and Forestry and Land Scotland state that the extra content should include outdoor and environmental concerns, as listed below.
Specifically suitable for Forestry Workers and Forestry Contractors, but also Arborists, Landscaping contractors, and Agricultural workers.
Theoretical training and practical scenarios are used together, and are progressed to being based in remote forestry locations.
