The course consists of 12 SQA modules at SCQF level 5 including Maths; Communications; ICT; Computer Aided Draughting; and Health & Safety.
Successful achievement of previous Engineering courses course or three National 4's in Maths and preferably English and a Technical subject.
Mature applicants without formal qualifications may be considered based on practical experience.
Assessments will be carried out within each module. Assessment will be by practical exercises, reports, closed book tests as appropriate to the outcome.
This forms the NC requirement of the Modern Apprenticeship.
