Description

The Modern Apprenticeship in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair is a work based award and requires attendance at Borders College over a 3 year period. Assessments for this award are also work based. Candidates will attend classes and a tutor and a training consultant will support them throughout the delivery of this Modern Apprenticeship.

Qualifications

The course comprises of 14 units. Units can be chosen from a range of options suited to the work place.To achieve the Modern Apprenticeship candidates must also achieve 5 core skills at SCQF Level 5 in Communication, Working with Others, Problem Solving, ICT & Numeracy. Candidates are encouraged to undertake an Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA) assessment on completion of their Modern Apprenticeship.

At your workplace and at our Borders College Campus in Galashiels. Your tutor and training consultant will guide you every step of the way, providing personalised tutoring and support.

Location

Scotland - candidates are required to attend our Galashiels Campus as part of the award.

Entry requirements

Candidates must be employed and working in a suitable environment to be able to provide evidence of their competence in the workplace.

Progression opportunities

Candidates can progress to a higher level Modern Apprenticeship award.
