We offer information and support for professionals including paid carers and care staff who care for and support an adult with Down’s syndrome who has been diagnosed with Dementia

We run a workshop called ‘Let’s talk about Caring for and Supporting someone with Down’s syndrome and Dementia’. This workshop is designed to provide you with information, help and support. We will give you a clear understanding of what Dementia is and how it affects people with Down’s syndrome, you can learn how to create a supportive and inclusive environment and how to support them with maintaining independence and friendships for as long as possible.

We can deliver this workshops to up to 10 delegates at a time, it will be delivered online via Zoom and can be arranged at a time to suit you. The cost of these sessions is £99 (was £125).

We also offer dedicated consultation sessions if there there is specific guidance or practical strategies you need related the care and support you offer to someone with Down’s syndrome and Dementia. We can provide a 45 minute online consultation session with up to four key staff. These sessions can add practical, individual suggestions and effective strategies tailored to your area of support and the individual. The cost of these sessions is £99 (was £125).
