Highers and Nationals

In this programme you can study a mix of Highers and National subjects. Full-time students will take three subjects, study skills and receive weekly support sessions from your Personal Development Advisor.

PLEASE NOTE A MAXIMUM OF THREE SUBJECTS CAN BE STUDIED IN ONE ACADEMIC YEAR.

Subjects that are delivered online will require you to set aside time for self-study and to complete homework and assessment tasks. To support this self-study you will be given access to our virtual learning environment and also SCHOLAR (hw.ac.uk) learning materials. Where classes are face to face these are delivered onsite at our Inverness campus. Please note that all prelim and final examinations take place at our campus in Inverness.

Please refer to individual subject pages for information on entry requirements as these may differ per subject. However, in general these will be:

• A pass at National 5 or equivalent for each Higher and a pass at National 4 to study a National 5 qualifications or,
• Relevant contextual experience for people returning to education after a break
