A 2 day basic chainsaw user course and the pre-requisite for all further training courses on chainsaws. Requires no prior knowledge or experience. Chainsaws and PPE can be hired for the duration of training. Lantra certificated.

For those who are new to chainsaw use or require an inductry acceptable basic user qualification, this 2 day course will tell you all you need to know about maintaining your chainsaw in optimal condition for safe cutting, keeping itnsharp, selecting and checking the correct and appropriate PPE for the task as well as safe use for basic cutting of felled timber railway sleepers etc. If you are not sure what sort of saw to buy or what PPE you need, don't worry - for a small fee (to cover wear and tear) we can hire you the right PPE and saw for the duration of training so that when you do go shopping for your own equipment you have a much better knowledge of what you actually require. Course are run either at our Dalry training centre or we can run them at your location (subject to additional costs). This is a Lantra ITA course which will gaun you an inductry-recognised certificate of competence
