At the end of this course, you will be able to: Describe the purpose and components of post and strained wire fence systems Describe the materials and installation requirements for post and strained wire fence systems Select and prepare tools, equipment and resources for post and strained wire fence systems Demonstrate how to dismantle and dispose old fence line Demonstrate how to plan route for desired fence Demonstrate how to calculate the required materials for post and strained wire fence systems Demonstrate how to position and fix posts at specified lines, levels and angles Prepare and install post and strained wire components to meet specifications Position and securely fix post and strained wire components at specified lines, levels and heights Demonstrate how to inspect, repair and post and test strained wire fence systems. Demonstrate gate hanging The finer details This training course has been developed to help you understand how to install post and strained wire fencing safely. The amount of instruction you will require will depend largely upon your previous experience and sessions will be adapted to meet your needs. Course duration will depend on experience and will be from one to four days. The training course will consist of theory and practical sessions, followed by assessment. Course sessions include: Types of Fence How to Install Strained Wire Fencing & Hanging of Gates Theory Assessment Practical Assessment. If successful in meeting the required standards assessed, you will be awarded a certificate of competence and a Lantra skills ID card
