The finer details My course involves a balanced mix of theory and practical work. as per (LANTRA) I will run through pesticide legislation and the key safety issues. You'll be taught the basics of what the applicator is and what it can do. Field work will then be followed by a rundown of decontamination techniques. Course sessions: Basics of spray application Hygiene and personal protective equipment The working principles of a knapsack Preparation of the applicator for work Nozzles Calibrating a knapsack Mixing, filling and site work Calibration – concentration method Decontamination, tank washing, and storage. Worth noting: The length of this course will depend on your experience. If you're a novice, it will run over two days. To be eligible, you must have already attended our Safe Use of Pesticides course.
