Description

This colourful festive class is inspired by the iconic  glass Christmas ornaments popular in the 1950s. The design combines traditional Goldwork techniques with coloured wires, leather and threads. Over the 2 day class you will learn to apply felt padding and kid leather, before adding couching, chipping and cutwork, along with Surface Stitched fir branches. This design is suitable for stitchers with some experience in Goldwork embroidery.

There will be plenty of opportunity during the class to ask the Tutor questions and in advance of the class all preparation information will be emailed to you along with an invitation to join the class on the day.

The class kit will be posted out to you. Your kit includes everything you need including a full colour, step by step instruction booklet. The only things you’ll need are an 8” ring frame and embroidery/goldwork scissors and a velvet board . It would be useful to have a pencil and paper in case you wish to take extra notes.

You can explore many more stitches on the RSN Stitch Bank.
