Description

If you have always wanted to learn to stitch but don’t know where to begin this is the class for you.

This is the second of three beginner hand embroidery designs, where you will stitch a unique sampler, learn about fabrics, threads and the history behind the techniques.

The second class will be a sampler using three of the funky sherbet range Appleton wools on blue linen where you will learn seven surface stitches which you will then be able to use to stitch your own seahorse on a 10” hoop.
The stitches in this design are Feather Stitch, Buttonhole, Herringbone, Couching, Whipped and Woven wheels and Pistol Stitch.

This class is for beginners and there will be plenty of opportunity during the class to ask the Tutor questions.

This class is suitable for beginners, but embroiderers of all levels are welcome.
The class kit will include everything you require to complete the project. You may like to bring your own embroidery scissors and you will be able to borrow ring frames, magnifiers and lights (if needed) on the day.
