Description

Emergency First Aid at Work +F (EFAW+F) is a specialized first aid course designed for individuals working in forestry, agriculture, and other remote or hazardous environments. It builds upon the standard Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course, adding specific knowledge and skills relevant to the unique hazards and challenges encountered in these industries. Key features of EFAW+F: Focus on forestry and remote environments: The +F component includes training on specific injuries common in forestry, such as crush injuries, chainsaw cuts, Lyme disease, and hypothermia. Enhanced practical skills: EFAW+F emphasizes practical skills to handle emergencies in remote locations where medical help may be delayed. Compliance with industry standards: The course is often designed to meet the requirements of the Forestry Commission and Forestry Industry Safety Accord (FISA). 1-day duration: Typically, the EFAW+F course is a full-day training program. In essence, EFAW+F is a more specialized version of EFAW, equipping individuals with the skills and knowledge to handle a wider range of emergencies in challenging outdoor environments.
