Chemists play a vital role in the production of everyday goods, with industry research and development being essential for the introduction of new products.
Using an experimental and investigative approach, this course explores key topics including chemical reactions, structure and bonding, carbon chemistry, energy changes, equilibria and chemical analysis. You'll also learn about the chemistry behind everyday products such as soaps, detergents, fragrances, food and skincare products, helping you connect scientific theory with real-world applications.
You'll also gain valuable practical and analytical skills through studying chemical apparatus and the reporting of experimental work.
