Beginners Crochet Taster
Saturday 17th May – Morning 10:30am to 1:30pm
Tutor – Charly Bisaccia
In this session, we will cover beginner-level/refresher crochet skills such as preparation for crochet, types of yarns & hooks, terminology, as well as 6 different techniques/stitches.
You will learn new stitches, how to make squares with different stitches, how to start and finish a square, be able to read a beginner pattern and most importantly have fun crafting in a welcoming environment!
Ball of wool and hook included.
There is also an optional follow on class, beginners crochet continuation, if you would like to learn more.

myBearpaw is a craft class studio and specialist retailer which started inside Avery Homestore (one of Edinburgh’s best independent home and craft retailers for over fifteen years). In April 2014 it moved to new premises in Edinburgh where Jo Avery further developed her myBearpaw brand of sewing classes, fabric, wool and haberdashery. In July 2020 the business was taken over by Catriona Brown who aims to continue in the same creative vein, with interesting classes and lovely craft supplies.
