Description

Scottish Vocational Qualifications combine work with study, so you can earn while you learn. It is an exciting way of gaining a recognised qualification that will help to start your career without having to study full time.

Babies, toddlers and young children learn all the time from their experiences, therefore it is important that early years provision is delivered and developed to a high standard to help shape a Scotland of the future.

This qualification is ideal if you are already employed within the industry at support worker/assistant level and looking to expand your knowledge and gain a formal qualification.

By studying this course you will be able to formally demonstrate and gain recognition of your competence and knowledge.

Working with experienced colleagues and with the support of a dedicated assessor you will gather examples of everyday tasks and build an e-portfolio of evidence.

It is a legal requirement by the SSSC that all staff in early years settings are working towards or have already received this qualification or equivalent.

You should be in a job role where you are carrying out relevant tasks and responsibilities which allow you to gather the required evidence to achieve the qualification.

You should already have a valid PVG Scheme membership through your workplace before commencing this course.
