What will I learn?

If you have a learning disability or autism, the Learning for Independence (National 2) course offers a welcoming environment to help you. You'll get the support you need to settle into college life. Our friendly lecturers will help you build confidence throughout the course and guide you in planning for your future.

The course timetable may offer some of the subjects below however these may change depending on the needs and interests of the learners.

  • Numeracy and personal finance  
  • Information technology  
  • Travel and leisure activities  
  • Healthy living  
  • Cooking skills  
  • Environmental issues  
  • Preparation for adulthood  
  • Fit for life  
  • Employability skills.  

You can apply for financial help in the form of a bursary or EMA .

You will be in college 16.5 hours per week.
