Propagate is a Scottish collective working on local, community and sustainable food projects. We want to see a world where high quality, nutrient rich sustainable food is available to all, through a resilient food system which is fair to producers and consumers and healthy for people and planet. Our mission is to work collaboratively and cooperatively for food systems change. We organise and deliver a wide range of learning and knowledge sharing opportunities around sustainable and regenerative food and farming systems - from informal farmer cluster groups to accredited courses. Many of our programmes are bespoke for the groups we are working with. Our examples on this website give you an idea of what we get up to - but please contact us if there's something you're interested in but don't see listed.
The Next Generation Practical Training Fund has been established by Scottish Government with an aim to support those relatively new to agriculture, by providing the opportunity for skills development and training on the practicalities of agricultural practice as well as wider business and sustainability skills, in order to help them secure, sustain and progress their careers.
