IOSH Managing Safely Refresher

• Pre-requisite: delegates must have achieved the IOSH Managing Safely certificate within the last three years
• The course covers updates in legislation, reinforcement of key messages, plus extra topics
• The IOSH Refresher offers awareness, knowledge and skills beyond those covered in the standard IOSH Managing Safely course
• It is assessed via short answer questions (there is no practical assessment for the IOSH Refresher course)
• IOSH Managing Safely Refresher certification is valid for three years

The IOSH Refresher course includes the following topics:

• Revisiting managing safely
• Reactive monitoring
• Risk assessment and risk control
• Health and safety legislation
• Common hazards
• Active monitoring
• Safety management systems
• Measuring performance
• Integrating environmental management.

The course is assessed by means of short answer questions. There is no practical assessment for the IOSH Managing Safely Refresher course. Successful candidates are awarded an IOSH Refresher certificate, valid for three years.
